Starbucks Reserve in NYC

It is so true that I have done a lot of traveling this year. I always love it most when a travel experience leaves a mark in my heart that stays after the trip has come to an end.  I spent a weekend with my longtime best friend Lisa and gosh, we had a ball in NYC!  We ran across the Starbucks Reserve in NYC and oh my gosh, it was an amazing adventure.  We were on our way to Chelsea Market for lunch when we came across the huge doors and stopped to admire.  I then realized that it was a giant, fabulous and unique Starbucks, none other than the Starbucks Reserve in NYC.  Lisa and I did not hesitate.  We opened those giant doors and wandered right in.  Immediately we were awed by the energy as a whole.  I am so excited to share some of my highlights with you from that wonderful visit to Starbucks Reserve in NYC!

But wait, before I share all the fun of the adventure I want to give you this free printable. It is perfect for everyday sharing of kindness and also would make a great Valentine.  You can download and print it.  I recommend printing on watercolor paper or card stock.

I printed it and made a Valentine that is already on our board.

Let me start with the literature immediately available once inside the doors.  Because the Starbucks Reserve in NYC is a tad overwhelming with opportunities for drinking coffee drinks, learning about coffee, eating gourmet meals and desserts and did I say drinking coffee drinks; having access to this literature made a huge difference.  There were menus and a giant fold-out map.  I am serious, a map!  It was like being in a coffee wonderland.

We opted to explore the roasting experience first.  The setup is super cool. Watching the beans travel over our heads made for a silly kind of fun experience.  It felt like being a kid in a candy factory.

We next explored the bar, Arriviamo. We bellied right up to the bar,

I ordered an Orange Coffee Tonic.

Our barista was fascinating to talk with and to watch work.  This drink had many steps, each done with meticulous care.

We explored the rest of the Starbucks Reserve in NYC, bought some fun things to bring home and took a ton more photographs.  I love this one of Lisa taking a picture.

What I admire most about Starbucks Reserve in NYC is the attention to every little detail.  The restrooms are downstairs and on the way there are live plants and information for consumers to learn and grow.

I guess what this whole post amount to is this, if you are headed to NYC go to Starbucks Reserve.  Whether you are a coffee love like me or just love awesome experiences, this place is phenomenal.

Cheers to Coffee, Friendship, Travel and of course…Starbucks!

Laura

  1. I do weight watchers but have really come to love the Iced Skinny Mocha. I could drink iced coffee all year long.

  2. I’ve been trying to stay low carb, so I get a latte with heavy whipping cream instead of milk and a sugar free flavor either vanilla or the cinnamon dolce and a little whipped cream on top. Yummy.

  3. What an awesome blog post! This place looks amazing! Thank you for sharing about it. I will check it out the next time I am in NYC!

  4. Wow…TFS such an amazing place and for the generous giveaway! I can really use a pickmeup right now. I just got out of about 6 weeks in for 3 surgeries and then I went septic and then on for rehab! I love salted caramel hot chocolate! Good luck to everyone!

  5. Not a coffee drinker but Starbucks are good for other things too – Chai lattes, passion tea lemonade and scones!

  6. Super cool post! The salted caramel macchiato is my favorite and im always sad when they no longer have the salt (after Christmas). I stil order it without though! 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win some!

  7. Pumpkin SPice Latte and Peppermint Mocha. The new shortbread latte is probably good, but the barista didn’t do a good job of mixing everything up and all the good stuff was at the bottom of the cup and way too sweet to drink : (

  8. I don’t see my comment or a confirmation so forgive me if i’m on here twice….

  14. I almost forgot what I usually order at Starbucks, since the team knows me so well, I don’t even have to anymore! ha/ha It’s a Vanilla Latte, nonfat! 🙂 Thank you for the chance.

  15. I miss the strawberry and banana smoothies (my kids loved them) but I do like their vanilla & caramel drinks as well as the peppermint hot chocolate.

  16. That looks like a super fun place to visit. We lived outside Seattle and did the tourist thing and went to the first store…that was fun too!

  17. It looks like such a fun and full of learning experience! My go to drink is an iced tall americano with two pumps of sugar free vanilla and a splash of half and half.

  18. I don’t do Starbucks but it is a daily stop for my daughter in law and I would love to treat her. Thanks for the darling printable and the great give away.

  21. I am happily addicted to Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Lattes, but I also enjoy Raspberry Lattes when PSLs are not in season 😉 I can’t wait to check out this special experience the next time we’re in NYC!

  22. I like so many but my go to is Strawberry Frappuccino. Love your article on Starbucks, sounds like a fun place to get lost in for an afternoon.

  23. I loved your post! I’d never even heard of this place. My favorite Starbucks treat is the hot chocolate! Thanks for the chance to win.

  24. I loved looking at the photos. Will need to go on my next trip to NY. My favorite drink is a skinny latte with chocolate powder on top.

  25. Wow! Didn’t know there was a deluxe version of Starbucks! lol! My favorite drink is a Venti raspberry green tea frap. The girls at my regular SB just see me walk in the door and start making it. : )
Thanks for the fun printout, too!

  26. My favorite Starbucks drinks are blonde vanilla latte, pink drink and green tea (hot or cold depending on the weather) no sweetner.

  27. The Mocha Frapuccino is my favorite, but I have been known to try new drinks for fun. I have never been to this NYC Reserve. I will seek it out (I am hopefully going to NYC next week or the one after). I went to one that didn’t have all of these extras. So I will seek it out when going to the Chelsea Market. THANKS

  28. P.S. I hope that you visited The Ink Pad, which is nearby. It has craft stamps (even some that you can’t get anywhere else, like NYC manhole cover designs, and NYC icons), dies, papers, stencils, etc. If you didn’t go, be sure to visit on your next trip 🙂

  29. In the winter I love dark roast coffee with a splash of cream or an occasional Flat White with an extra shot. In the summer I love an iced Americano with a splash of cream.

  30. Venti chai Frappuccino with extra caramel!! Super yummy!
I live your designs. I met you years ago at a scrapbook
Event. Thank you for this opportunity! I love it a latte! ❤️

  31. I don’t really have a favorite. It used to be iced white chocolate mocha but I’m loving frappucinos. I wish my city Starbucks would carry coconut syrup because that is just amazing in WCM!

  32. That is a hard question. I like the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, the Cinnamon Shortbread latte, the Eggnog latte and their blonde roast. I like the majority of their seasonal drinks as they come out.
