Lucky Shamrock Milkshake

I don’t know about you but I sure do love a good milkshake.  I am nut sure what is the best part about a lucky shamrock milkshake, the hint of mint or the cherries on top.  After you finish your St. Patrick’s Day crafting fun, it is a great idea to treat yourself to a homemade lucky shamrock milkshake.  If you are not super into crafting, you can always download and print some of my free puzzles and activities to do instead.  I am sharing a new one in this post for the believers in magic, leprechauns and rainbows ending in gold.

Shamrock Shake Recipe Milkshake

There are so many kinds of ice cream out there in the marketplace these days.  There are even choices for people who eat dairy free which I think is awesome.  Personally, my favorite ice cream for this is Vanilla Bean, the real thing!  The beans make it have such a strong vanilla flavor to compliment the mint in a lucky shamrock milshake.  Of course, you don’t really have to put the mint in it at all!

The trick to the green is in getting the right amount of dye in the cup.  One drop.  That is all you need.

We have a Ninja that we love for single shakes and smoothies.  It is so easy to use and clean.  You can grab a Ninja Blender on Amazon.

About that new printable.  I designed it so you can turn it into a little booklet of activities if you want.  If that is how you want to use it, print it then cut it into four pieces and staple them together.  It would work great for a classroom celebration.

you can grab it FREE.

CHEERS to a yummy Lucky Shamrock Milkshake!  And cheers to luck, to love and to celebrating all the things!

XO,

Laura

  1. I’m so boring and usually just go with vanilla. If they use fresh ingredients then I get strawberry.

  2. Usually go for strawberry milkshakes. Thanks for the tip on the 1 drop of food coloring – might choose to leave out mint, since most of the family doesn’t like it.

  3. Toffee Milkshake is my favorite flavor of milkshake, followed closely by Brownie Blast.

  4. “What is your favorite flavor of milkshake?” Chocolate malts, which must, of course, be made with chocolate malt powder and vanilla ice cream!

  5. Chocolate is my favorite shake. I also love McDonald’s shamrock shake. Thanks for sharing your recipe. I just showed it to my husband. We are going to have to make it.

  6. I would like to try these shakes. There is a restaurant where we live that has the most delicious Banana Pudding Milkshakes!

  7. I am a fan of strawberry but I do love the Shamrock Shake. Already made my pit stop to McD’s to get one for the season!
