DIY Rainbow Erasers

Happy mail, goody bags and care packages are all best with DIY rainbow erasers included.  This adorable projects is perfect for kids of all ages to make as a darling addition to a gifty.  Of course the erasers are perfect for keeping too because, gosh — they are so fun.  This post is sponsored by Sculpey but the ideas and opinions are my own.

Material Needed for Rainbow Erasers

Steps for Making Rainbow Erasers

Start by opening the six colors of clay that come in the pack.

For each rainbow eraser, use about 1/12 of a piece of the clay in each color.  I think it helps to separate it before rolling.

Roll the pieces in to “snakes” about 3 1/2 inches long the push them together in the order of the colors of the rainbow.

Use the plastic knife that comes in the set to cut the ends to make them even.

Roll the rainbow around the top of a pencil.

Place all pieces on the mat and on a baking sheet then bake following the directions that come in the set.  Basically, bake at 250 degrees for 20 minutes for each 1/4 inch of thickness.  I baked these for 28 minutes.

Let the clay totally cool before touching.

Pair the pencils with the darling DIY clay erasers with mini journals and stickers to create cheerful gifts.

Clay is super fun and relaxing to work with.  Here is another one of my favorite clay projects, a rainbow garden made with clay.
