Create any size of flat round clay beads to make darling beads to spell out words from the Girl Scout Promise and Law
There are so many great words in the Girl Scout promise and the law. Use the free printables below for ideas and support when doing this crafty project!
Materials and Supplies to Make Beads
- Sculpey Air Dry Clay – If you want the clay to cure/dry faster – use Original Scupley and bake.
- Clay Roller Tool
- Clay Poke Tool (I like the one in the white set from Sculpey)
- Permanent Marker
- Needle and Thread
- Felt Pom Poms or LARGE Beads
Directions to Make Taylor Swift Friendship Beads
NOTE – If you want the clay to cure/dry faster – use Original Scupley and bake.
Start by taking a handful of clay and kneading it until it is softenen and easy to work with. Then, roll it out until approximately 1/4 inch thick. Use a circle cutter (this is a 1 inch) to cut out as many circles as needed to spell your word or message.
Poke a hole through the center then let it dry for 24 hours.
The holes should all be in the same place in the center of each circle in order for the beads to hang and be read with even lettering.
Once the clay is totally dry, use the permanent marker to add the letters and details.
String the pom poms and letters to create the decorative piece. It can be used to add a fun touch of Taylor Swift friendship to just about anything.
Use the string of beads and pom-poms to decorate ALL the things. It makes a great garland and a great add on to a gift. I love it for adding to a lamp pull too. Of course I know that there are Swifties out there that would hang it in their cars! It is adorable on a cookie tray for sure!
