This morning I made a Frankenstein craft project using a paint chip for the Fifteen MINUTE Friday blog post that I do each week for Buttons Galore when in occurred to me that I really don’t know much about the monster. I had a little fun looking up some facts and have decided to share them, along with a bunch of fun craft ideas.
This is what I learned. Frankenstein is actually a character (Dr. Victor Frankenstein) who gave the monster character life in a novel that was written in 1818 by a nineteen year old author, Mary Godwin. Now that was a long time ago. I thought the monster was Frankenstein. Little did I know. The monster never even really got a name. Victor Frankenstein was based on a real person named Johann Konrad Dippel. He was a doctor and mad scientist obsessed with creating life through scientific means. He was born in a castle, awesome…right? The castle’s name was Castle Frankenstein and was located near Darmstadt, Germany. I think I just might watch the movie now.
Back to crafting, I searched the web, my friends’ blogs and found so many awesome ideas.
Here is a round up of some really fun Frankenstein projects. Maybe you can throw a party, play some trivia games and make some green fun.
I even made a Word Search puzzle using the Frankenstein from ‘Me and My Peeps’ to share.
This should be everything you need to throw a party that would make Dr. Victor Frankenstein proud, that is if he were real (or alive still)…
Happy Frankenstein Baking, Making and Partying,
Laura
