When I was asked to make a card for Operation Write Home as a participant in Tombow‘s 4th of July Blog Hop…I said YES, OF COURSE, MY HONOR!
I used a sketch from their website (#2 by Karen H) to create my card, along with a few of my favorite card making supplies.
First I cut a piece of fabric 2″ wide (following the pattern) and stitched with blue floss from Coats and Clark across it to tie the bow through buttons from my patriotic mix from Buttons Galore and More. I attached it to the card with Power Tabs. I doodled a happy “Peep” and use my Tombow pens to have her sport our country’s colors. Then I attached it with Power Tabs too.
If you want to make this card but you don’t feel like your doodling skills are up to speed (which I am sure that they really are), here is a free download of a few doodles you can use.
And now, off to mail my card in so it can make a difference for someone. Happy Fourth of July and God Bless America!
