Project Creative Friends Linky Party #1- Gingerbread Ideas

Sharing creativity and supporting friends along the way is my jam. I am so glad you are here.

It seems like this year the trend is all about gingerbread. I have been seeing gingerbread houses, recipes and craft projects galore all over Instagram. This actually makes me so happy as I am a huge fan of gingerbread. I love the way it smells and gosh, the idea of cookies coming to life and living in candy houses – MAGICAL!

I would first like to feature my two partners from our days as Team Creative Crafts. Through our friendships and multitude of projects/adventures, I have learned so much! We did a linky party as a team for the past few years but now that we have chosen different paths, they will be doing their own things. Be sure to visit their blogs for all the latest!

Beth blogs over at Creatively Beth and makes the most amazing simple but adorable crafts for kids. This gingerbread craft stick projects is perfect!

Lindsay blogs over at Artsy Fartsy Mama and has awesome printables, SVG cut files, recipes and DIY projects. This Gingerbread Family Cookie Sheet Ornament is soooo cute.

One of my favorite projects on my blog is the turning of kraft bags/boxes into gingerbread decor. This is a quick and simple project that can be done with kids and adults. It makes darling wrap for gifts and sweet treats alike. Grab the directions to make your own.

Here are three other fun gingerbread project ideas that you might like!

Kicking Off With Week #1 of Project Creative Friends

As I have been growing my blog, my brand and my wholesale stationery company – I decided it was time to start sharing the creative journeys of those in my circle – from the blogsphere and my everyday in person life. Each week, I will be sharing TWO features from the link-ups and a small business or product that I love. Let’s start with MORE GINGERBREAD FUN!

WEEK #1 Features

I reached out to some of my blogger friends to share a few of my favorite projects and recipes that they have created. I hope that you love them and find them inspiring.

Heather blogs over at Homemade Heather. I first met this friend many years ago in Salt Lake City where she was my Secret SNAP Sister at a conference. She gave me the most THOUGHTFUL handmade gifts from her local community in Canada. Heather shares so many awesome recipes on her blog (and creative crafts/printables). This recipe for Gingerbread Eggnog Icing is delicious.

Jennifer blogs over at Tatertots and Jello. Before I started this blogging journey for myself in 2010, she was my HERO! Since then, we have become friends and the more I know her, the more there is to love. She is as kind and loving as she is creative and amazing. Check out this darling wreath over on her blog. Be ready, you are going to want to get all of the supplies to make your own!

My Favorite Gingerbread House Kit

I LOVE this kit that I found on Amazon for making a gingerbread house. When I read about the company, I fell in love.

Fun has always taken a front seat at Baketivity. As parents, founders Eli & Miriam Schwartz wanted to bring more fun into their own home, but finding kid-friendly activities that didn’t require tons of prep and tons of cleanup was a challenge.

We make them EVERY year in our family and strongly endorse THE MORE CANDY THE BETTER. Grab this one with FREE shipping if you are a PRIME member.

I am so excited to launch the Project Creative Friends LINKY PARTY! Just like a kid at Christmas, I cannot wait to see what everyone will post and share from their uber-talented blogs. The variety of inspiration is amazing and awesome. From recipes to crafts to home decor to upcycled furniture to kids’ crafts and Free Printables. Y’all are so super artistic and brilliant. I love this creative community that I am a part of. Everyone is so supportive, encouraging, and caring. It’s just like catching up with friends every week.

The rules for this Linky Party are simple:

  • Please visit me on social media and say HI!  I can’t feature you if you aren’t following us on at least one platform.
  • Share up to THREE family-friendly – crafts, recipes, DIY, home décor, printables, etc. – linked to a specific post – not your main website URL.
  • Please don’t link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other linky parties, or any sales promotions, we appreciate it.
  • Help us spread the word about this party by sharing the Creative Crafts Team Linky Party button in your post or sidebar.  Use the hashtag #projectcreativefriends when sharing on social!
  • It’s not a party if you aren’t mingling!  Visit other links at the party because it’s always nice to leave comments and pin from the original source.

By linking to the Project Creative Friends Linky Party, you give me permission to share your post and images on my blog and social media. I will always give proper credit with a photo and link back.
