This t-shirt was such a blast to create. As I experiment and create with more and more products from I Love to Create, I fall in love with them. As the grass turns green and chicks hatch for spring, I decided to try some products out to create a t-shirt using yellow dye that would emulate the chick from my licensing art portfolio. Yay!
Here is the chick model!
Like always, I gathered up the things I would need first.
To get the dyed circle for the chick’s body, I used a rubber band in the middle of the shirt. I mixed the yellow dye with a little bit of water in a jar and dipped the banded part of shirt in it a TINY bit past the rubber band then let it sit for the day, wet. After about 6 hours, I used an iron on the shirt to create a flat surface to work on with the Tulip Slick Fashion Fabric Paints and Beads in A Bottle.
I painted the details for the chick and the stem for the flower with the paints.
Then I added the flower using the purple and pink Beads in a Bottle. This stuff is awesome fun and creates such a fabulous result.
