Hey everyone. This is Dylan, Laura’s 21 year old son, writing this post. I recently went skiing with my mom at Loveland and we had the luxury of staying at Lawson Adventure Park in one of the cabins. This is what I have to share about it. It was a great escape from the day to day life of Raleigh, NC. I really enjoyed the small style of the cabin, it allowed for more bonding with family than if we had stayed at home. It was really neat that the door to the cabin opened up into the woods, literally. We could hear the wind and it felt so peaceful.
The view driving in was rad.
My mom is always ready to snap photographs. I gave up fighting this long ago. This picture is in front of the cabin.
The cabin was completely equipped. It had everything from wine glasses and ice to a fireplace heater. If you are having someone sleep on the sofa bed in the living area, I would suggest maybe bringing an extra blanket or two. We didn’t know that there were games to play already in the cabin so we brought a few of our own. My mom whipped me in Ticket to Ride.
The cabins have great porches with a grill, table and chairs. We didn’t grill out but next time we will for sure. The cabins are named and themed. We stayed in Bierstadt with a beer theme.
My mom is an artist. She carries paints with her most places. She painted the cabin to commemorate our fun time there.
So basically, if you are looking for an awesome Colorado experience that is outdoorsy but not too remote, Lawson Adventure Park’s new cabins are perfect. My mom wrote about things to do at Lawson Adventure Park in the warm weather and you can read about that too. My brother and I missed that adventure but hopefully can do these fun things in the summer.
You can follow along with Lawson Adventure Park on Facebook.
Bye,
Dylan
