3 Ingredient Cake Box Gingerbread Cookies
Christmas baking and holiday festivities go hand in hand. When things are busy and time is running short, these 3 Ingredient Cake Box Gingerbread Cookies are a sure hit. They are great for a Christmas Cookies Exchange Party. These cookies are so pretty and yummy so they also are perfect to gift to friends and neighbors.
Directions:
Gather your ingredients and supplies.
- Baking Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Gingerbread Cake Mix
- 1 Egg
- 1/3 C Butter
- Electric Mixer
Mix the gingerbread cake mix from a box with 1/3 C butter and 1 egg. If it feels to tacky, add a tiny bit of flour until it doesn’t stick to your fingers.
Drop by spoonful onto baking sheet and cook at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until edges brown. Once the cookies are completely cool, decorate them by adding icing.
Drizzle white icing over the cookies.
Add sprinkles to the wet icing and let it harden. I LOVE these gingerbread sprinkles because they make the cookies so adorable.
Cookie Baking Tips
Tip ONE: When I bake cookies, I always like to line my sheet with parchment paper. This makes the clean up so much simpler. It also keeps my cookie sheets looking pretty and lasting longer. My favorite parchment paper If You Care Parchment Paper.
It is the BEST VALUE: If You Care Parchment Paper comes as pack of one box, providing a total of 70 sq ft of unbleached baking paper. Compare to other brands that only offer 30-45 sq ft. Additionally it is SILICONE COATED: What makes our parchment paper unique is that it is coated with silicone, unlike most parchment papers that are coated with Quilon, which contains heavy metal that can leave toxic trace elements in your food and baked goods.
Tip TWO:
I love to use an oversized cookie sheet that fits 24 cookies at a time. This baking sheet from Wilton is my favorite. It measures 15 x 21 inches, is non-stick and alloy steel.
