Rainbow Hunt Collage Art

It is a great time to create a piece of art for the rainbow hunt. People all over the country are making rainbows and placing them in windows, on doors and in the yard as a sign of promise to kids of all ages that times will get better. This rainbow hunt piece is made with scraps of paper put together on a recycled box with Deco-Pauge. This post is sponsored by DecoArt but the ideas and opinions are my own.

To make the rainbow hunt collage art, you will need the following materials and supplies.

DecoArt Deco-Pauge
Colored Paper (Either Water Colored or Torn Scrapbook Paper) in Rainbow Colors
Paint Brush
Cardboard (Side of a Recycled Box)
Black Americana Acrylic Paint for Accents

Stops to Make Rainbow Hunt Collage Art

Start by creating your torn paper pieces. If you plan to water color your paper, take into consideration that you will need more red than purple as the arch for red will take up much more space.

Tear your paper into color piles.

Using a paint brush, paint a rainbow onto a cardboard box with Deco-Pauge.

After you stick your color pieces to the painted Decou-Page rainbow, paint another layer of Deco-Pauge overt top. When it is dry, add some black painted accents if desired. Hang in your window or on your front door.
