I love this stuff. Truly, I do. Every time I get a new order from Grove Collaborative, I cheer a little. I mostly love the scents of the Meyer’s dish soap. I am not a huge fan of cleaning, AT ALL. I don’t really love (even like) to wash dishes. Having dish soap that is super bubbly and smells delightful can make all the difference. I am not even kidding. I had peppermint over the holidays and I kept the right half of my sink full of hot soapy water all day, just because I could! You might ask why??? Why would a classroom need dish soap. Well, let me tell you about small humans. Small humans spread germs like crazy. They touch all the things and the little ones, they put them in their MOUTHS. Germs are on these tiny fingers and germs spread. So, it is super important to clean. The greatest part, the kids love to do the cleaning of the toys and manipulatives.
On a sunny day, you can take the tub of water, dish soap and manipulatives outside for cleaning time. This is a great life skill all by itself. You could go so far as to have your students graph and chart the things they cleaned. They could measure water. They could experiment with bubbles. The possiblities are great (and they will smell great when they are done).
Here is my favorite sponge. It is the walnut scour sponge and it works! It works GREAT in the kitchen on pots and pans. It is hypoallergenic and made with walnut scour (ground walnut shells with recycled fibers), 100% all-natural plant based cellulose and non-toxic adhesive I think that is super cool. It has two sides, one is tougher than the other. It is perfect for cleaning classroom surfaces and desks! Great news….you can wash it in the dishwasher!
Keeping hands clean is pretty important too. The hand soaps are stellar. I LOVE them because they don’t dry my hand out too badly and they small fabulous.
