Summer can be challenging on adult friendships if you are used to spending your adult social time during the days. I created a little friendship bingo board to keep those friendships alive and healthy and IN PERSON. I do love social media but I much prefer BEING with my friends, hearing them laugh and creating adventures. Okay, let’s be real here. I am talking about my bestie, Laura (Housewife Hellraiser). This is us last week at Breckenridge Brewery!
We spend a lot of time together doing grand things like grocery shopping and running erands during the school year. Summertime is different. I LOVE her kiddos too (every one of the five) but time with just her is precious. These are some of the things we do to grow our relationship and create time to support each other.
I am so lucky to have Laura as a bestie. She is bomb. I believe that the foundation of our friendship is based on REAL life stuff. That’s why it rocks. We hear how lucky we are to have each other all the time. It is not luck. It is work. REAL relationships require effort. We take time. We make time. If this silly little game board supports even two people in creating more time together, it was worth it.
You can download the printable HERE! It has a fun shopping list on it too…for you! Here is what I bought for ME today at King Soopers! Yep, I bought it all for me. I love it that I can go to the supermarket and find these things that make me so happy.
I filled in the list when I got home. I know it sounds sort of backwards but it sure made me feel good to have accomplished the entire thing. Do you think I am nuts?
Yep, Laura was with me…at the grocery store. We even hung out in the Starbucks Cafe for a bit. This is our texting when we both got to our homes. x7 is what Laura’s daughter calls us because she likes to tease that we see each other 7 times a week, as in every day. LOL
Do it. Pick a friend. Reward yourselves when you get a BINGO. I know that traditional bingo has 5 columns and 5 rows. I thought 5 things in the summer might be pushing it and really, nothing about this is traditional. Do it anyway.
Cheers and Love,
Laura
This is so cute! Love you, friend! I don’t see enchiladas or Target run in that list though .
Or Benson staging or driving to Utah….
Adorable!
