How to Create Stitchable Felt Halloween Ornaments

I simply cannot wait to share how to create stitchable felt Halloween ornaments with this new and fabulous stitchable felt.  It comes in ALL of my favorite bright colors so of course great ones for Halloween and all of the holidays.  It works great with big needles so is perfect for beginners, kids and seniors alike.  Combining the stitchable felt pieces with the wide variety of embroidery floss colors creates endless possibilities.  This post is sponsored by Coats and Clark but the ideas and opinions are my own.

How to Create Cross Stitch Halloween Ornaments on Stitchable Felt

The following materials and supplies are needed for this project:

Cross Stitch Halloween Felt Ornament Supplies

The stitchable felt is covered in rows of holes, like cross stitch fabric but much more durable.

STEP ONE:

Stitch the designs on to the stitchable felt using colors of your like of embroidery floss and the FREE downloadable pattern.

Here are a few photos of the ghost as he is being stitched onto black stitchable felt to create a darling felt Halloween ornament.

Add stitches for eyes, stems, etc. then cut a circle around each design a tad smaller than the wood slices.  This is an opportunity to get creative and add details.

Use hot glue to adhere the designs to the wood slices.  Flip the wood slices over to hot glue the ribbon to the back, forming loops for hanging.

They are so adorable and cute and well, not so spooky really!  If bows are your jam, add a few with extra embroidery floss.
