We are getting prettttttty excited to see Finding Dory tonight at the theater. We have been not-so-patiently waiting for months. Because I love the characters in the movie already from Finding Nemo and my kids LOVE when I get super excited and turn our regular evenings into family parties, I created some party ideas for Finding Dory. Beware, they are awfully darn cute and might send you straight out to the store (almost everything here came from Michaels) to get some ingredients, supplies and materials.
How adorable are these cookies. I wrapped Oreos in fondant and added candy eyes. The fondant and candy eyes are all from Michaels if you are going out looking. These are super easy to make and delicious too.
If you are into crafting with your kiddos, these paper plate fishies (Nemo and Dory) are made with Chinet round appetizer plates, Kunin Group felt, googly eyes and DecoArt paints. I used Tombow’s Adhesive Dots and Adhesive Tabs (because they work with FELT) to get the pieces of this project to stick together. I LOVE them.
These!!! These paper crafted fishies were made with the die that I DESIGNED for Sizzix. I used Tombow’s Xtreme Permanent Adhesive Runner for this project.
It wouldn’t be a party without snack mix. This one is Rice Chex mixed with melted Wilton blue chocolate discs, cookie mix and sprinkles galore. The lollipop is from Michaels too!
To top it all off, here is a fun printable to work on while you wait for paint to dry, wait for your turn with the scissors or while snacking. Don’t you love the way I selected three awesome Tombow marker colors to celebrate Dory and Nemo?
You can download it FREE HERE. Yippee for party ideas for Finding Dory, for crafting and for celebrating all the things!
If you are giving the snack mix as a fun little gift for a Disney loving friend, you can use a stamp from Expressionery RIGHT ON THE paper crafted fish to make a darling tag.
Cheers to Disney creating magic for the world to enjoy!
XOXO,
Laura
