How to Throw a Dr. Seuss Lorax Party
I am excited to share How to Throw a Dr. Seuss Lorax Party with you. We all LOVE The Lorax in this family. We loved the book before the movie was ever an idea. When I was a first year teacher (many moons ago), I met this young man who had it memorized and recited it at a bar as a story teller. I was mesmerized. I often wonder if he got married and had kids because gosh, he would be an awesome bedtime story dad. Anyway, back to Party Time with the Lorax!

How to Throw a Dr. Seuss LORAX Party Craft Ideas
The truffula trees are so magnificent. Their beauty is the beginning but the fact that they are needed by so many characters in the story is such a reminder of how much we need our trees. I made these with yarn and pom pom maker. I glued the pom poms to paper straws to finish them then stuck them in cupcakes from the grocery store. This might be my favorite project in Party Time with the Lorax.
Decorations are always so easy with Kunin Group felt. I made these tree tops from different colors. Glue them to ribbon with Beacon’s Felt Glue to create a darling garland.
Ta Da! It is Party Time with the Lorax!!!
For party crafting, clay is always a win for us. These little Lorax was made with Sculpey Bake Shop. Kids can do amazing things with polymer clay and baking it is easy peasy. This is one of my favorite crafty because they can take home something that will last.
Speaking of taking things home. A party needs a goody bag and this one works for me. I grabbed colored bags from the craft store and decorated them with Kunin Group eco-fi felt. Ta Da! The free pattern to make the Lorax is later in this very same post.

How to Throw a Dr. Seuss LORAX Party directions wouldn’t be complete without lots of good treats and food ideas. These Once-Ler cookies are cake box cookies (vanilla) with green food coloring. You can grab the recipe HERE and then alter it to get the green. I cut out the Once-Ler’s hand from green felt and used Beacon’s Felt Glue to put it together.
Humming-Fish Mix is a great snack for a party.
Simply mix together goldfish crackers, popcorn, white candy melts and sprinkles. Melt the candy over the crackers and popcorn then add the sprinkles and let it harden before serving. You can add blue candies too if you think that is fun idea.
Bar-ba-loot fruit skewers are sure to please young party guests. The best part about these are the cherries for sure. Everything is better with maraschino cherries, right?
I kind of crush on these Lorax cheese sandwiches because, well, because I LOVE CHEESE. For a party, I would just put one out and take grilled cheese orders based on cheese likes and dislikes. There are so many kinds of cheese that could be used in a grilled cheese making bar. Here are my top cheese picks.
- Cheddar Cheese
- Colby Cheese
- Pepper Jack Cheese
- Swiss Cheese
- American Cheese
Grickle grass juice is simply green juice and any brand will work. You can find several green juices in the juice department of your local grocery store.
