Who else LOVES to paint ceramics? My crazy fascination with creating carrot themed fun around my house this spring has carried over to ceramics. I created this adorable little carrot plate to use when we leave a treat for the bunny the night before Easter.
I did it in a quick few very simple steps.
Paint the carrot first with three coats of Duncan Concepts Neon Orange, letting each coat dry before applying the next.
Add the green tops the same way with Duncan Concepts Green Apple.
Paint a couple of lines on the carrot with Duncan Concepts Bright Straw.
Then add your dots in the color of your choice with the end of a pencil by dipping it in the paint for each one using the eraser end.
After it is glazed and fired, it is tooooo cute.
I painted this last night to go with my new coffee from World Market. I am not even kidding! Carrot Cake Coffee!!! It needs its own mug. I will share it when it is out of my amazing Skutt kiln on Instagram.
You can hop (ha ha ha) on over to your local Paint Your Own Pottery studio and make these too. They are easy peasy and so adorable for decorating this spring!
Happy All Things Carrot,
Laura
Your plates and mugs turned out so cute. How do you fire your pottery? Where would I find a kiln?
These are SO fun and adorable!! I so wish I was able to do this at home!!
These are adorable. I love your tutorial too because it makes it easy to follow along.
