Clay Pumpkin Place Card Holders

These clay pumpkin place card holders are great for the Thanksgiving table AND the Halloween table too.  I love them because kids can make them and be a part of creating the decorations and the festivities.  This post is sponsored by Sculpey but the ideas and opinions are my own.  This is the first in a series of posts sharing ideas for Thanksgiving and autumn.  I hope you are inspired to get into your craft closet and start making all the things.

To make thee clay pumpkin place card holders, you will need a few things.

The first step is to make your pumpkins by rolling orange clay into a ball and using your hands to form the pumpkin.  Then add a clay stem and a leaf or vine.

Line your pumpkins up and use the sharp edge of a ruler to press down and create a place where a card will slide and fit.

Bake the pumpkins according to the directions in the packaging.

Cut out place cards and put them in the pumpkins (once they cool of course).  If your cards tip back, you can use a little glue dot to attache them hold them in place.  It will depend on how big your card is and how deep your insert space is.

Ta Da!

Check back tomorrow for another awesome Thanksgiving idea!

Cheers to Thanksgiving and Getting Kids Involved,

Laura
