Springtime is filled with great reasons to gift wine to friends. From Teacher Appreciation to Mother’s Day, I bet you have some friends who love wine. I most certainly do. These decorative clay embellished wine corks make great necklaces that turn a bottle into a gift. This post is sponsored by Sculpey but the ideas and opinions are my own.
To get started, you will need the following materials and supplies.
- Wine Corks
- Sculpey Souffle Clay (Pistachio, Poppy Seed, Igloo)
- Oven with Baking Sheet
- Hot Glue
Start by rolling the pistachio color into a ball that is about 3/4 inch in diameter. Smash it flat. Roll another ball from poppy seed black clay about the same size as the first and press it onto the green. Using igloo white clay, add tiny dots to the black ball. Bake the pieces following the directions on the packaging and let them cool. Use hot glue to attach them to wine corks.
Tie them to the neck of a wine bottle to create a necklace and make a gift. Ta Da!
This is a great little gift because it can be done in any color scheme. You could make these for party favors and wedding favors. You could even add clay initials or monograms. The possibilities are endless.
Cheers to Springtime, Wine and Making Awesomeness with Clay,
Laura
