DIY Sock Monkey LOVE Banners for Valentine’s Day

This is the first day of my 2018 Valentine’s Day series and I am kicking it off in sock monkey style.  These DIY sock monkey love banners for Valentine’s Day are so darling and festive.  I always love using Kunin Group felt to create holiday decor and am crushing on how cute these turned out.  This post is sponsored by Kunin Group but the ideas and opinions are all my own.  I am proud to be a member of the Kunin Group Dream Team focused on sharing creativity with felt.

Sock Monkey Valentine Felt Banner Garland

To get started, you will need to a standard 9×12 inch piece of felt in any color.  I chose red.  Cut it into a banner with either of the patterns that you can download as a PDF.

Next, sew the top down about a half an inch leaving a hole for a rod to fit through.

Create your sock monkey using my die that I designed for Ellison and Sizzix and different colors of felt.

Create a mini pennant with a love message (or any message really).

Use felt glue to put your pieces on your banner.

Slide a dowel rod through the top then add a little ribbon to make a hanger.  Ta da.

Here is another really cute version.

This same idea is being shared over on the Kunin Group blog with a little Girl Scout twist.

I’d love for you to enter this awesome contest to win a felt stash for yourself.
