Instructions for Turkeys Made From Canning Lids

STEP ONE

Gather all of your necessary supplies. Paint a basecoat on the metal canning jar lids with brown multi-surface acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP TWO

Download, print, and cut out the CANNING JAR LID TURKEY PATTERNS. Trace or pin beak pattern onto gold craft felt. Trace or pin waddle pattern onto burgundy craft felt. Cut out patterns with scissors.

STEP THREE

To create the turkey face, attach two wiggle eyes, the felt waddle, and then the felt beak with a glue gun and glue sticks.

NOTE: You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.

STEP FOUR

Trim the plastic stem from three silk leaves. Attach the three silk leaves to the back of the canning jar lid turkey with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP FIVE

Glue together two tumbling tower wooden game pieces to create a stand. Basecoat the tumbling tower stand with brown acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP SIX

Attach the stand to the back bottom center of the turkey with a glue gun and glue sticks. Hold in place until glue cools completely.

You can change this craft project up by using a variety of color of silk leaves for the Canning Jar Lid Turkey Decorations. Your family and friends will never know how quick and easy this trendy Autumn decor was to create!
