I love to create and make things with Kunin Group felt and I love pom poms so putting these two together makes me crazy excited. This post is sponsored by Expo International but the ideas and opinions are mine all mine. I whipped up a couple of cute things to share that can be easily made with the darling trims.
First, I gathered and cut my supplies and materials.
The ghost bag is simply two pieces of felt (7 1/2 by 9 inches) sewn together with a pom pom trim in the bottom and a ribbon handle on the top. You can pre-sew on your designs to create the face OR add them afterwards with glue. If you don’t sew, you can put the entire thing together with glue.
I used the Bonita Pom Pom Fringe on the bottom of the ghost bag. I used black ric-rack sewn into the pink felt cheeks to create the loose smile.
If you follow me, you know I LOVE Frankenstein. This darling little pillow (8 X 8 inches) was made with green, black and white felt as well as two trims from Expo International. I sewed the face and hair on first then sewed the two green squared together adding the pom pom trim. I left two inches open to stuff then hand stitched the pillow closed.
I added the scar with a little piece of ric-rac using glue.
I think the ghost bag would be darling as a goody bag for a party. It could also be used for trick-or-treating. The Frankenstein square for the front of the pillow would be darling repeated and sewn into a garland or a banner. What would you do with felt and pom pom trims?
Cheers to Halloween and to making things for celebration!
Laura
