It is crazy hard to believe that season eight is about to begin. I am hosting a Game of Thrones party and these are a few of the things that I have prepared to celebrate the kickoff of the final season. I love to celebrate all the things. While Game of Thrones is violent and filled with mature content (more mature than me for sure), it has captivated me. I am intrigues by the relationships between the characters and have fallen totally in love with Daenerys Targaryen. She just doesn’t ever give up. I feel like underneath it all, we have things in common. Yes, me and the queen are a little alike. To say the least, I am totally psyched for Sunday to arrive.
This Liquid Wildfire cocktail is a dreamy drink. Here is the recipe. It is so easy. Mix 2 ounces of Midori, 2 ounces of Vodka.
Pour over ice and add 4 ounces Soda Water.
Serve with fresh squeezed lime and a couple of cherries.
This next recipe is for Milk of the Poppy and it is completely delicious. I am excited to share it with my friends at the Game of Thrones Party and with you right here and now. Mix the following two ingredients together – 2 ounces Rumchatta and 1 ounce Vodka. Pour over ice and add a splash of Heavy Whipping Cream. It is delicious (and won’t kill you).
You can blend it too. It is like a Milk of the Poppy shake.
I created a word search puzzle that you can download and print right from this post. I doodled the symbols for the houses. Do you know which one goes with which house? What would a Game of Thrones party be without a puzzle?
Okay, let’s just talk about these Game of Thrones Oreos!!!
There are lots of awesome designs on the cookies but this one is my fave! Yay House Stark!
Speaking of House Stark, I whipped up some DIY wine charms for my friends using shrink film. First I doodle the houses. I printed them on shrink film and colored them.
Then I cut them out, punched holes and baked them. After adding beads and wire, BOOM! They are perfect.
I have already claimed the House Stark for myself. I tested it with a glass of red wine.
Here is a close up.
Do you want the printable of the houses and the individual images so you can craft too? You can grab them on Shop Laura Kelly for $3.
Silhouette makes tattoo paper so I printed out the doodles I doodled to make temporary tattoos for our guests. I am planning on tattooing myself as a Stark. What would you choose? Please, don’t say Lannister!
