“Make New Friends” Girl Scout Craft Ideas Christmas Ornament DIY

Create beautiful glittery ornaments for your Girl Scout friends, leaders and volunteers.

Making things for friends is special all year round but especially during the holiday season. This project is super easy and doesn’t take much tame, making it perfect to do during a troop meeting. It would also make a really fun Christmas party craft for your Girl Scout troop. It can be adapted by the ribbon color to be blue for Daisies, brown for Brownies, Green for Cadettes, etc. This is one of the best Christmas Girl Scout Craft Ideas.

Materials and Supplies Needed

Directions for Using Glitter-It!

Using Glitter-It is as easy as 1-2-3. I have found that it works the very best when being applied to clean, dry glass with chunky glitter!

  1. Unscrew cap of Glitter-It! and pour a small amount into vessel (gumball machine). Swirl around to coat the entire inner surface. Add more if needed. Drain Glitter-It! from vessel before adding glitter. Be sure that the entire inner surface is well coated with Glitter-It! before adding glitter.
  2. Immediately add about glitter. Rotate and shake vessel around until the inside of the vessel is completely covered with glitter. If necessary, add additional Glitter-It! and glitter until all areas are covered.
  3. Turn vessel upside down and shake away any excess glitter. Let dry!

Step One

Take the lid off of the top of the ornament. Pour some Glitter-It! Swirl around and evenly coat the entire inside of the ornament.

Let dry for a bit then put the top back on.

Step Two

Cut a trefoil with the poem out from the free printable shared below. This can be used in lots of Girl Scout Craft Ideas.

Flip it over and spray the back LIGHTLY with Beacon Spray Adhesive.

Spray over a scrap of paper or cardboard that can be thrown away as it will get sticky too.

Gently place the trefoil on the ornament and press down with fingers to smooth and flatten. It will dry very quickly.

Step Three

Tie a piece of ribbon into a bow either on the ornament top or to a hanger.

Another Girl Scout Friendship Craft Idea.

I love these felt bead necklaces.

This is one of the best Girl Scout Craft Ideas because it promotes friendship. If each girl make a different color set of beads then shares one with the others in the troop, they will all end up with a necklace that represents each individual girl.
