Making Bunny Clothes with Quick-Trace Doll Fashions Templates

Making bunny clothes with Quick-Trace Doll Fashion Templates certainly creates a lot of fun for the Easter holiday.  The templates are designed to make clothes for eighteen inch dolls but gosh, they sure work great for eighteen inch bunnies too.  Truth is, Zoe loves her bunnies a little more than her dolls.  That makes this project extra special in our house!  This post is part of my 2018 DIY Easter Series and sponsored by Nancy’s Notions.  The ideas and opinions are my own.

To make the dress, you will need the following materials and supplies.

  • Quick-Trace Doll Fashion Templates
  • Fabric (12 x 18 inches is plenty which makes a great use for scraps!)
  • Felt (Kunin Basics Orange Corduroy and Apple Green)
  • Scissors (Clover Bordeaux 200)
  • Straight Pins
  • Sewing Machine

All of the directions are in the book that comes with the template.  I am excited to share a few of the photos I took while making the little dress.  If you need a pattern for a carrot, you can grab one HERE and then shrink it down.

The plastic templates are so easy peasy to work with!  Making a little felt carrot is so simple.  Of course if you know me, you know that I am pretty carrot crazy so I love this part.  Sewing the dress together takes about no time at all.  Trim the strings and flip in right side out and Ta-Da!

It’s a perfect fit.

Nancy’s Notions has TONS of great products that make sewing a little simpler and more fun.  I think having a good pair of scissors is a total must when cutting fabric and I truly LOVE LOVE LOVE my pair of Clovers.

Cheers to Dressing Bunnies in Handmade Clothing,

Laura
