My Dad Rocks Father’s Day Gift
Have you ever been panning for rocks. It seems like on most of our family trips there is a panning station (including the middle of the Denver Aquarium). My kids LOVE to do it. I found a way to put those panned rocks to good use and get them out of the little dirty bags. This ‘My Dad Rocks Father’s Day Gift’ is sure to be a hit. It is made with so much love AND rocks that were panned together. Thank goodness for Beacon’s amazing Quick Grip Glue that holds the rocks in place. This post is sponsored by Beacon Adhesives but the ideas and opinions are my own.
To make this fabulous sign, you will need the following materials and supplies:
- Beacon Quick Grip Glue
- Wooden Board (2 inches by 10 inches)
- Brown Paint
- Decou-Page
- Paint Brush
- Twine
- Rocks
- Printed ‘My Dad Rocks’ Words
Paint the board brown and let it dry.
Glue the twine to the board to create a handle using a generous supply of Quick Grip.
Add rocks to your My Dad Rocks Father’s Day Gift with Quick Grip (on the two sides).
Use Decou-Page to adhere your worded message to the center of the board.
Add extra rocks.
Let dry completely. While it is drying, download this free Father’s Day Word Search Printable Puzzle.

Quick Grip Glue is a contact cement. It works great as a permanent adhesive on things that are heavy duty. I love that it is water and weather proof AND you can paint it.
