These darling wooden gingerbread houses are so easy to make with PUFFY PAINT!
I am not going to lie, I was never a fan of painted sweatshirts. However, I do have a soft spot for puffy paint and love finding other ways to use it. These adorable tiny wooden gingerbread houses are so easy to make and fun to use in home decorations for the winter months, especially Christmas.
Materials and Supplies Needed
- Wood House Cutouts
- White Puffy Paint
- Brown Spray Paint (ColorShot in the color Brownie is great!)
- Fake Sparkle Snow
Directions for Painted Gingerbread Houses with Puffy Paint
Start by painting the wooden houses. These could be done in ANY SIZE! The ones that I am using are 4 inches tall with the intention of them being small enough to fit in a large apothecary jar.
Let the paint dry completely, If they are going to be displayed somewhere where both sides are showing make sure that back is painted too. Next, use the white puffy paint to decorate by adding details like a door, windows, flowers, hearts and shingles. It is fun to add details to the sides of the houses too.
Add puffy paint the rooftops then sprinkle with the fake sparkle snow. If you want more sparkle, throw a little on the fronts too.
The puffy paint will need to dry overnight.
It is fun to paint other little things to go with the houses. I found this cute little reindeer at Target in a two pack so painted one to add to my jar snow globe.
