There is literally So Much Christmas at Gaylord Rockies to kick of and celebrate the season!
Every year I look forward to kicking off the holiday season at Gaylord Rockies. It is the most magical resort filled with everything you could possibly dream of to be filled with joy while creating memories to last a lifetime. I cannot wait to share my top 4 highlights that I look forward to year after year.
Magic at Gaylord Rockies So Much Christmas
These are my top five but please note THERE IS SO MUCH CHRISTMAS and so much more. If you have any questions, know that you can always send me messages on my social media and I will respond.
ICE!
Every year master artisans come together to create a frozen magical wonderland called ICE! This year they carved 2 MILLION pounds of ice to create an experience themed The Polar Express. Being that this is one of my all time favorite picture books, I couldn’t be more thrilled. The magic of the bell ringing lives in my holiday heart. They use chisels, chippers, handsaws and lots of other tools to create intricate life size ice sculptures.
The highlight is always the ice SLIDE. Yes, that is correct. There is a slide made of ice and we have been known to rise up those steps to slide down over a dozen times in a visit. It is THAT fascinating and fun. It is pure joy. You can visit my Instagram and check out the highlight reel to see us in action.
The Exquisite Views and Holiday Ambience
From the moment your drive up to the property, the magic begins. Once entering the front door, you are greeted with an array of gorgeous Christmas trees (flocked and filled with beautiful one of a kind ornaments), music and the smells of the holidays.
Throughout the hotel, there are pockets of magic and joy at every turn. If you want to immerse yourself with company and connection, there are lots of open spaces providing these opportunities. The panoramic view of the Rockies as you step into the center atrium of the hotel will take your breath away.
Walk a little further down to the windows and soak in the sunshine in a living room environment with singular seating to relax and enjoy time for yourself or with friends and family.
Mistletoe Village
There is a great variety of experiences to create SO MUCH Christmas at Gaylord Rockies. Mistletoe Village is the place to be if you want to create those glimmering magic memories. While I love ALL of the different opportunities, my favorite is always decorating gingerbread houses with Nutmeg in the village. This photo is from 2023 when we had way too much fun with Nutmeg. I believe that we are never too old to create. This is such a fun way to connect with a friend. We laughed and celebrated.
Because this is my favorite experience, I created a FREE printable that you can download and enjoy at home. Nutmeg is the most joyful gingerbread man and helps create such a fun filled time while decorating. GO grab the free download!
Relache Spa
Our lives has been lucky (& humbled) to have experienced many spas along our travels. Japan, China, Italy, South of France, and the USA to name a few. My intention is not to brag but to highlight why the Relache Spa at the Gaylord Rockies has been exceptional! From the moment you arrive at the stunning front desk to the moment you glide out back out the front door you have been transformed. Every detail is thoughtful and executed with tranquility in mind. You could hear a pin drop over the melody of relaxing music bouncing off of the perfectly lined amenities lining the spotless counters. We recommend arriving with Christmas PJs in your bag to wear back to your room so you can relax and watch Christmas movies.
