Turkey Rolo Pretzel Candy Treats are one of the simplest and most adorable ways to create Thanksgiving magic.

These are super fun to make WITH kids and for kids (of all ages I might add). I truly believe that Thanksgiving is that magical day to celebrate deep gratitude and all that we have to be thankful for in our lives. The symbolic turkey is just a fun way to create cute memories and traditions. This is one of my favorites.

Thanksgiving is the perfect season to make these quick and easy Turkey Candy Treats with limited ingredients in just about 15 minutes. Chocolate and pretzel turkeys are a fun fall treat that your kids will love making with you. Get the kiddos involved and spend some quality time in the kitchen.

Ingredients and Equipment

INGREDIENTS:

  • Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Snaps
  • Rolo Caramel and Chocolate Candy
  • M&M’s Chocolate Candies (the orange ones)
  • Harvest Candy Corn
  • Candy Eyes

EQUIPMENT:

  • Small Bowls – 5
  • Oven
  • Oven Mitts
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pre-heat oven to 200ᵒ. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Unwrap 30 Rolo chocolate and caramel candies then place in a small dish or bowl. These will become the turkey’s head.

Open pretzel snaps and place in a small dish or bowl. These will become the turkey candy base. Use regular pretzel snaps, not the butter pretzel snaps. The butter pretzel snaps have an artificial flavor that does not blend well with the candies.

Open the bag of M&M’s chocolate candies, pick out 30 orange ones, and place in a small dish or bowl. These will become the turkey’s beak.

Place 90 candy corn in a small dish or bowl. These will become the turkey’s tail feathers. Place 60 candy eyes in a small dish or bowl.

Count out 30 square pretzel snaps and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Top each pretzel snap with a Rolo chocolate and caramel candy.

Place the baking sheet in a pre-heated 200ᵒ oven for 5 minutes. When the Rolos are ready, they will become very glossy.

Remove baking tray from the oven with oven mitts and insert 2 candy eyes at the top center of each Rolo, pushing down into the melted candy gently. Be careful with the warm edges of the baking sheet.

Carefully push an orange M&M candy, vertically, into each Rolo below the eyes.

Add 3 candy corn candies to the top center, left-hand and right-hand sides of each Rolo candy. Push the pointed end into the melted chocolate. Using the harvest candy corn will give your turkeys personality.

Set baking tray aside to allow chocolate to harden. To speed up the hardening process, pop the tray of chocolate and pretzel turkeys in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes.

Makes 30 treats, but you can easily make more or less.

Store in an airtight container and place on the counter or in the fridge.

This is an easy 4 ingredient Thanksgiving treat or dessert. Made with snaps square pretzels, Rolos, orange M&M’s, candy corn, and candy eyes. Make as a gift for family, friends, co-workers, or as a classroom treat!
