If you live in the Denver area, here are my top ten reasons to shop LOCAL at Beyond the Blackboard. If you are far away, I have great news! You can shop online. This post is sponsored but the opinions are my own.
“Beyond the Blackboard’s story started when sisters Jean Boylan and Jacqueline Killian put together their passion for education with their entrepreneurial spirits to create a one of a kind educational establishment. Their goal was to help nurture the confidence of children both in and out of the classroom, while creating life long learners who exercise their inquisitive minds to have fun and be creative. Their merchandise enables parents and teachers to explore the world one subject at a time with the kids in their lives.”
Reason One: Beyond the Blackboard carries amazing products. The selection of educational toys and learning materials is superb. Beyond the Blackboard carries quality brands and works closely with their team to be sure they are all trained to explain and demonstrate for shoppers. From children’s literature to robotic kits, the store has a huge variety of items that kids of all ages are sure to love!
I shared this amazing product a while back when I wrote all about the shopping center and my favorite stores.
Reason Two: The stores are filled with happy, friendly staff. The training to work in the store is extensive which means that shoppers are getting serviced by someone who truly cares meeting the needs that bring you in to the store.
Reason Three: The stores sell FROGS! They are amazing.
Reason Four: The stores support local philanthropies and schools through many kinds of program and community involvement. A couple of weeks ago they sent staff and products to share with the residents at Peakview Assisted Living for Adopt-A Grandparent Day! The roll-up rainbow piano was a huge hit.
Reason Five: The store is owned by a local family. The money you spend goes right back into our community.
Reason Six: Beyond the Blackboard provides awesome workshops and birthday parties for kiddos.
Starting in 2018, the stores will also offer teacher workshops and new classes for kids including Girl Scouts! YAY! One of the upcoming workshops allows kiddos to make their own gift wrap. DIY gift wrap is just a perfect idea.
The slime workshops are always a tremendous success!
Reason Seven: Beyond the Blackboard is kid ready. With mini shopping carts and play tables, kids are always welcome to visit and play while parents shop.
Reason Eight: Beyond the Blackboard partners with local bloggers (like me) to spread the word about all they have to offer. Just a couple of weeks ago there was an awesome blogger event to educate and share with these social influencers.
Reason Nine: Squishables! They are super soft and completely adorable plush creatures.
Reason Ten: I work in the store! Come see me!!!!
Cheers,
Laura
