Watercolor Holiday Cards with #OrientalTrading

The holidays really are the perfect time to break out the crafty and artistic supplies and access your inner maker.  This watercolor Christmas cards post is sponsored by Oriental Trading but the ideas are mine.  I can’t wait to share what I created with just a couple of basic supplies and a little imagination.

Watercolor Holiday Cards

You will need a few things.  I have listed them for you with links to where you can purchase them on the Oriental Trading online store.

Supplies

Okay, let me show you how I did it.

Doodle a character or a Christmas design on the watercolor paper with a Sharpie.  It is important to use a permanent marker so your design won’t run from the ink when you add the watercolor paint.  Then paint your doodles and images and let them dry.

Doodle

Cut out your art and add it to the card with glue.  You can layer your designs too like I did on this one.

You can also add ribbon (or any embellishments for that matter) to give your card added joy.

There are 25 sheets of watercolor paper in the pack so I have to go now.  I have 20 more to doodle and paint!

Happy Creating,

Laura
