Back To School Cherry Sundae Open House

Throw a Back to School cherry sundae open house for your students or your classroom parents.  Ice cream and cherries are a sure way to raise the participation level for sure.  Classroom open houses are a great time to celebrate the start of a new year while creating effective communication with students and families.  To create this festive and fun open house, you will need maraschino cherries for CherryMan because they are the BEST.  The post is sponsored by CherryMan but the ideas and opinions are my own.

To create your ice cream cups ahead of time, put one large scoop in each cup and place them all on a large cookie sheet.  Keep them in the cafeteria freezer until it is time to serve the treats.

Serve them with chocolate syrup, sprinkles and lots of CHERRIES for the tops.  To keep the process simple and smooth, have your cherries ready ahead of time on toothpicks or mini skewers.

This is a great opportunity to solicit classroom donations.  Parents are sure to be more likely to want to give back when you are feeding them cherries!  These donation bookmarks are awesome.  Just place them in a jar by you sundae station and they are sure to be a hit.

I made the cherry on the jar with Sculpey clay and attached it with hot glue.
