I made these completely adorable carrot gift tags with Tombow markers (dual brush). They are the perfect compliment to the carrot themed treats inside the bags. If you ask around in my circles of friends, they will tell you…I have a special love for carrots. Some might even say that I need an intervention. I don’t think this is the case though and so I will carrot on…
To create these tags I used a bunch of awesome products from Tombow. As a Senior Ambassador, I have the honor of spreading Tombow love which makes my life super happy. I used:
Watercolor Paper
- Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue
- Tombow Stamp Runner Dot Adhesive
- Tombow Dual Brush Markers (Orange and Green)
- Paint Brush and Water
- Paper Bags
- Hole Punch
- Fiskars Scissors
- Raffia (from World Market)
- Tombow Mono Twin Permanent Marker
The first step (to be done ahead of time) is to doodle your carrots with the liquid glue. Let them dry completely before advancing.
When the glue is dry, use your markers to color lines inside the doodled carrots.
Add a little water with a paint brush. If you get sloppy, dab with a paper towel. It’s the best watercolor tip I know.
Let them dry then cut them out.
Close your gift bags with the stamp runner. If you want to add names to your tags, do it now. Use a Mono Twin Permanent marker.
To add the carrot tags, punch a hole through the carrot and the bag then tie it on with raffia. Ta Da!
This process is really fun to do with all kinds of doodles. The liquid glue acts as a resist and gives the tags depth.
Happy Creating,
Laura
