Making handmade gifts is special and allows the maker an opportunity to create something unique. This DIY Boho Teacher Container with an Apple Wand is especially awesome because it so colorful and cheery. I am pretty much a fan of all things Bohemian so this was kind of super fun to make. The trims in the project were sent to me from Expo International to use in a project of my choice. I am excited to be a part of a blog hop with some other designers who are also sharing projects with the trims. This post is sponsored by Expo International but the ideas and opinions are my own.
To make a DIY Boho Teacher Container with an Apple Wand, you will need the following materials.
- Kunin Premium Felt (12 x 18 inch) – I used the color Smoke.
- Kunin Basic Felt (Red, Green, Brown) to create apples. I used my apple die from Sizzix but you could hand cut too.
- Expo Trims (Pom-Poms, Ric-Rac)
- Beacon Fabri-Tac Glue
- Scissors
- Ruler
Step 1
Cut the large piece of felt in half lengthwise.
Step 2
Put a thick line of glue on the short end of the felt then roll it to create a tube. Hold for a minute to give the glue a chance to do its magic.
Step 3
Trace a circle around the bottom of the felt tube. Cut it out and glue the tube to the circle, creating the container.
Step 4
Add trims around the container to decorate it.
Step 5
Make your apple wand by cutting out the apple pieces from felt, adding trim and gluing it to a ruler.
Step 6
Fill the DIY Boho Teacher Container with an Apple Wand with goodies to give to your favorite teacher.
