DIY Father’s Day Cherry Marinade with Printable Label

Yesterday I shared a darling DIY felt apron for Dad for Father’s Day and today I am sharing the perfect homemade SWEET CherryMan Marinade to go with it.  This marinade is so easy to make that it is perfect for kiddos to jump in and do it with a grown up.  It is sweet so most kids will love it on their grilled delights.  This post is sponsored by CherryMan but the ideas and opinions are my own.

There are only six ingredients.

Marinade Recipe

Mix all ingredients.
・1 small white onion, chopped
・½ C chopped CherryMan marschino cherries
・½ C CherryMan cherry juice
・1 cup ketchup
・2/3 cup packed brown sugar
・2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
・1/2 teaspoon pepper

Store in jar in refrigerator. It is best to use a couple of days after making as the ingredients have a chance to blend together in the jar.

This makes a darling gift for Father’s Day!

Cut out a rectangle label from the free printable (which also had the recipe printed on it) and adhere to a jar.  This is best done AFTER filling with the marinade so you don’t spill all over it.

We have tried it on grilled chicken breasts and it was amazing.  We poured it over 4 breasts and let them sit in the fridge all day before grilling.  We grilled on foil so we would be able to keep the marinade chunks to eat with the chicken.

We tried this too.  Mix 1/2 jar of the marinade with 1 can of grilling beans.  Heat thoroughly and serve.  DELISH!  The kiddos cut up their hot dogs and added them into their bowls.  Ummmm, okay.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for day three of DIY Father’s Day.

Cheers,

Laura
