This it what happened around here today. The girls and their besties created amazing fashion creations using PAPER for their dolls and then styled them up for photo shoots. They were super proud of their Fashion My Mayhem inspired paper dress fashion show. I feel like Scotch sponsored this post because we sure used A LOT of tape!
Just in case you don’t already know, Mayhem is my friend Angie’s little girl who is a five year old fashion designer. For real! Her creations are with paper and my girls love to follow her and see what she comes up with. I love it like crazy that a five year old inspires my tweens to access their creative spirits and make. This is the dress she posted TODAY. I love it. You can check it out on her Facebook page here!
So here it is in action…
TAPE!!! Tape, tape and more tape!
And of course we had a sign…created with washi tape from Scotch!
And tickets ta boot!
It was a perfect sunny day for outdoor photos.
Would you look at these fashion statements!!!
And this one…a recreation of the dress we love most from Little Mayhem’s new collection at JCrew.
I think it looks so much like the real one, which by the way Zoe will be wearing tomorrow for her first “real” photo shoot! If you love this party dress (which has matching sandals and accessories), go check it out at JCrew. Here is Little Mayhem wearing her dress.
Here are some really proud girls!
A HUGE shout out of gratitude to Angie for being the kind of mom who says yes, who roles with “it” and who shares. Little did any of us know back in 2013 when I first doodled Mayhem that she would grow so quickly to positively change the way the world sees fashion designers!
Cheers and Love,
Laura
This is so fun! I think my daughter and her friends would love to have a party like this.
My nieces would love to have a fashion show like this! How fun!
Love this what a great idea!
What a fun project! I love the dresses and I love the creativity!
This was so much fun. Yay for paper fashion and summertime fun!
Adorable! On our summer to do list!
Wonderfully talented young dress designers. Keep up the good work girls.
