What is the Switch Witch?
The Switch Witch is a witch that comes on either on Halloween night or one soon after, She usually comes once the kids have gone to bed. She takes your candy and leaves you with a special little trade – a SWITCH out for the candy. The trade could be anything depending on the age of the children.
Here are some fun ideas for the Switch Witch to leave in place of the candy:

- Art Supplies
- Books
- Money
- Gift Card to an Experience

How to Plan for the Switch Witch
The Switch witch is kind of like a sister to the tooth fairy. She can leave money or toys or any other goodies. It is best to tell your kiddos about her BEFORE you head out to trick-or-treat so they can be prepared for letting go of the candy. Of course, don’t make them give it all up. Let them pick a few pieces to keep and enjoy. After all, that is how we did it, right?
It is fun to use this opportunity to get super creative – maybe even give your witch a NAME!
