Teacher Appreciation Gift

The second school week of May is Teacher Appreciation Week!  It is usually filled with gift giving, staff treats and such.  This teacher appreciation gift card is a great addition to any teacher appreciation gift. It is so simple to make thanks to the awesome and amazing Xyron Mega-Runner.  The adhesive is easy to work with and holds paper crafts together like a charm.  This post is sponsored by Xyron but the ideas and opinions are my own.

DIY Teacher Appreciation Card with Donuts

To make the card, you will need the following supplies and materials.

  • Scrapbook Papers in Desired Colors
  • Blank Fold Over Card and Envelope (Square 5 1/2 inch)
  • Sizzix Die-Cut Machine and Laura Kelly Apple Die or Apple Cut Out
  • Xyron Mega-Runner Adhesive
  • Paper Pocket
  • Washi Tape

Cut out paper apple pieces on the die-cut machine.

Trim the leaf and stem to fit the apple and add them with the Mega-Runner.

Add 5 inch square to the front of your card using the Mega-Runner.  Run a strip of adhesive around the edges and adhere it to the base card. Add your apple on top of the square, adhering it in the center.

Add other scrapbook cutouts if you want more detail on the front of your card.

On the inside of the card, add a paper pocket with the Mega-Runner for inserting a gift card or a special note.  Decorate with washi tape.

Add the card to a decorative board if you want to create a POP of teacher fun to a Teacher Appreciation Gift of donuts or sweet treats!

To make these donuts, simple drizzle melted white chocolate over them and add sprinkles.  The apples are made from hand molding fondant.

YAY for awesome tools like the Xyron Mega-Runner that make creative projects successful and simple.

Cheers to Appreciating Teachers with a Teacher Appreciation Gift!
