Quiet Clay Creatures for Classroom Management

These darling quiet clay creatures for classroom management are so easy to make and work wonders in the classroom.  We made them with Sculpey’s Bake Shop clay because it is our favorite polymer clay product.  It comes in so many bright and wonderful colors and it is easy peasy to mold.  This is day two of Back to School Ideas for The Classroom.  This post was sponsored by Sculpey but the ideas and opinions are my own.

These quiet creatures are great.  They live in a jar on the teacher’s desk.  When a student is on task and quiet, one can be placed on their desk to positively reward them for their good choice making.  To create the creatures, you ONLY need the Bake Shop clay.

Mold your clay into balls.  We made two balls from each color in the pack (except the black and white).

Use the black and white to create the eyes.  Then we baked, following the directions in the packaging.

We were strategic in our eye making.  There are an even number of one eyed, two eyed and three eyed creatures.  This allows the creatures to be used for creating small groups of students.  There are two in each color which creates a way to form partners for classroom activities.

The creatures can also be used for teaching colors.

For names on desks (or tables), you can use the cards that come with the Classroom Creatures in my TpT store.

I love this because it works.  I love it because students can actually make the creatures too.  If you want the printable for the jar, you can grab it in my TpT store.

Cheers to CLAY in the Classroom!
