I am super excited to share all three of these Saint Patrick’s Day projects on FOX News next week but first I am sharing them with you in this post! I whipped all of them up with some of my favorite products from ooly. I love creating projects that are simple, fun and darling. I happen to believe that all three of these are simple, fun and totally darling (especially the garland)! Rainbows, shamrocks and leprechauns are the two things that come to mind first when decorating for St. Patrick’s Day. So, of course, that is what I created in these projects. This post is sponsored by ooly but the ideas and opinions are my own.
Okay, let’s make ALL of the Saint Patrick’s Day projects but start with the garland because gosh, the leprechaun is adorable. Start by cutting watercolor paper into 6 inch squares. Use ooly’s Water Color Paint Pods to paint two shamrocks, two rainbows and a leprechaun.
When the watercolor paint is dry, cover the painted area with Pixie Paste, Party in a Jar.
Let it dry completely then cut out your rainbows, shamrocks, and leprechaun. Use mini clothespins to attach them to a ribbon and BOOM, you have a garland for decorating.
Next up, let’s make some diy erasers with ooly’s creatibles d.i.y. eraser kit. Roll thin “snakes” in the colors of the rainbow.
Press them together and roll it all up.
Use the green to make shamrock by rolling four green balls and a pressing them into a stem. Add a little red heart. Use the directions in the packaging for baking the clay into erasers.
This last of the DIY Saint Patrick’s Day Projects could really be used for any time of year. It is super cool to make your own scratch art paper. Start by covering a piece of watercolor paper with a thick layer of colors using ooly’s sparkle watercolor gel crayons. Let it sit for a few minutes
Then paint a layer of black paint over the crayon with ooly’s Poster Paint.
When it is totally dry, use the non-brush end of a paintbrush to sketch on the paper. It will reveal the color underneath! I know, super awesome right?
These three Saint Patrick’s Day projects are just some of what is on this blog. Stay a while and check out some of the other fabulous projects too.
May the Luck of the Irish Be With You!
XO,
Laura
