Here are some great ideas for SWAPS and more SWAPS. I tend to think that Girl Scouts are great at creating and with a page full of sayings alongside crafty materials, they are all set. If you are new to this whole SWAPS thing and wondering what it is…here you go. They are Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere. The girls trade them at events, camps and with each other to share their individuality and to create connection. While they are common amongst scouting, they are also great fun for kids in any setting. They would be awesome in the classroom or at any kind of workshop or kid camp.
Here are a few that I really like. The messages are uplifting and the craftiness so fun. The confetti was made with a hole puncher.
The star is made with Sculpey’s Bake Shop clay.
This felt heart is also a die-cut (used my Sizzix machine) with a little stitching.
These are grass seeds in corner of a plastic sandwich bag.
Sprinkles applied with glue! They are bound to spread some happy!
CREATE! This is my favorite. It was made with paper scraps and Mod Podge.
Feel free to download the sheet of words and saying HERE!
Cheers to SWAPS and all things Girl Scouts,
Laura
