Some neighborhood moms get together to play Bunko and others to have progressive dinners. My bestie’s neighborhood (next to mine) has Awesome Club. Awesome Club is simply a time to gather, laugh, tell stories and bond as awesome women. They invited me to join and I am so honored. This month it was my time to host…yay! Everyone knows I love a party. For my turn I planned Awesome Club Paints Ceramics with Duncan!
I decorated and prepared some yummy stuff.
And I got us all set up to create! Everyone had a really great time (I think) painting while chatting and giggling and the like.
There is a magic that happens when we all create together, at the same time. It is like it opens hearts up wide and allows people to share authentically. I guess while the brain is busy in its creative state, it forgets to judge so much and allows us to just be ourselves.
Once the ceramics were dry, I dipped them in the glaze and fired them in my Skutt kiln.
Ta Da! I sure have some talented friends!
I really LOVE LOVE LOVE this birdhouse! It is so amazing how the pieces transform in the firing process.
