Create any size of flat round clay beads to make darling Taylor Swift friendship bead decor for Valentines Day Boxes and Decorations
Decorating gifts, boxes and tags is such a blast when it gets themed to match a friend’s passion. I have a friend who is a TOTAL Swiftie so I made this for her for Valentine’s Day! I can’t wait to share with you how I did it because it was SUPER simple and so much fun.
Materials and Supplies to Make Beads for Valentine Box
- Sculpey Air Dry Clay
- Clay Roller Tool
- Clay Poke Tool (I like the one in the white set from Sculpey)
- Permanent Marker
- Needle and Thread
- Felt Pom Poms or LARGE Beads
Directions to Make Taylor Swift Friendship Beads
Start by taking a handful of clay and kneading it until it is softenen and easy to work with. Then, roll it out until approximately 1/4 inch thick. Use a circle cutter (this is a 1 inch) to cut out as many circles as needed to spell your word or message.
Poke a hole through the center then let it dry for 24 hours.
The holes should all be in the same place in the center of each circle in order for the beads to hang and be read with even lettering.
Once the clay is totally dry, use the permanent marker to add the letters and details.
String the pom poms and letters to create the decorative piece. It can be used to add a fun touch of Taylor Swift friendship to just about anything.
If you want to add the beads to a box to make it to a carrier for Valentines, be sure to add a hole on the back side so they can slip in. This DIY Taylor Swift Valentine Box is adorable and so EASY to make!
Use the string of beads and pom-poms to decorate ALL the things. It makes a great garland and a great add on to a gift. I love it for adding to a lamp pull too. Of course I know that there are Swifties out there that would hang it in their cars!
