Eraser Valentine Printable
This Eraser Valentine Printable is perfect to use when creating and making erasers with Sculpey Bake Shop Eraser Clay. I love all things handmade and homemade, especially for Valentines. The clay is super easy to work with and erasers that get made really work.
Clay crafts for kids are some of my favorites because the process of rolling and smooshing and playing is so calming. I also love that every creation comes out a little different which makes is practically impossible to mess up. This post is sponsored by Sculpey but the ideas and opinions are my own.

Directions to Make Clay Erasers
The first step is to come up with your eraser idea. My ideas this time were to make a monster, a frog and a heart. I chose these three to go with the free eraser Valentine printable designed to match. Next, start creating.
A good size for an eraser made with clay if it is going on a pencil is about the size of a quarter, maybe a tiny bit bigger. If it gets too heavy, it makes it hard to write with pencil. Of course if your erasers are going to be stand alone, they could be any size at all. I started with blue clay. I always work on the oven safe work mat.
Roll the clay in to a ball then push a pencil into the middle of it. Press the clay firmly to the pencil so it will hold once baked.
Add clay details, ONLY USING ERASER CLAY. This is important because when you choose to use the eraser, other clays won’t work and will scratch your paper. Use the tools to create dimension and personality.
Bake the clay eraser creations following the directions in the packaging (about 20 minutes at 250 degrees)! You can bake it right on the work mat!
Once they are totally cooled, they are ready to use.
