My Favorite Crab Recipe for Dip
Here is everything you need to know to make my favorite crab spread.
Ingredients
- 1/2 Onion Chopped
- 1/2 Stick Butter (1/4 CUP)
- 1 Block Cream Cheese (Softened)
- 1 Can Crabmeat (1 CUP)
- 1 CUP Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Directions for Easy Yummy Crab Dip and Spread
- Sautee onion in butter.
- Add all ingredients and mix completely.
- Put in shallow baking dish and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees until bubbly.
- Serve while hot.
- I mix it together in a bowl first then pour it into a baking dish for the cooking part. Here it is…going in the oven. I love a good casserole dish that can be taken from the oven and party ready. I collect casserole dishes and baking pans because there is no such thing as too many in my opinion. (Sprinkling pepper on the top is optional.)Then I serve it right from the dish.
It doesn’t last long. Here is the recipe if you want to print it out!
Serve dip with crackers or toasted bread. It is a great snack for game nights and movie night too. There are more ways to use this crab dip too if you are into fancy cooking. It works great as a filling to put inside fish (especially salmon). If you add bread crumbs or smashed crackers to it, it can be made into crab cake patties. I suggest you make some and go from there.
