Create a batch of this delicious Patriotic Muddy Buddy Chex Mix with some of the yummiest ingredients for your next patriotic celebration.

Making snacks, treats and goodies is so much fun for all of the holidays. This recipe could easily be changed up simply by changing the colors of the candies but for this go round – we are talking about the RED, WHITE and BLUE. I love this recipe because the combination of the melted white chocolate with peanut butter is my favorite. Add crunchy GLUTEN FREE cereal and some sugar and I am ALL IN.

Ingredients for Patriotic Snack Mix

You will need the following ingredients to make this delicious recipe. The cereal and the candies can always be substituted if you have other favorite go-tos.

• 1 Box Rice Chex (Gluten Free)
• 1 Cup Peanut Butter
• 1 Cup Melted Chocolate or White Chocolate
• Powdered Sugar (3/4 Cup – 1 Cup)
• Candies
• Parchment Paper
• Glass Bowl for Melting
• Spatula
• Cookie Sheet

Directions

I have tried many ways to mix up Muddy Buddy Chex Mix and this is the way that seems to work the very best. There are only a few steps but following them will get you great results.

Start by melting your peanut butter and chocolate together in a LARGE glass bowl. I do this in the microwave. Melt for 30 seconds at a time, stopping to stir until fully melted. Mix together.

Add cereal to the large bowl and mix until coated then pour over a parchment paper liner on a cookie sheet.

While the mix is still hot from the melted candy, sprinkle powdered sugar over it.

Use your spatula to flip it around to get the powdered sugar coating on as much of the mix as possible. Add candies if you plan to have them in your mix. Refrigerate for about thirty minutes before serving or packing up to gift.
