Directions for Rocket Ship Valentine Craft

STEP ONE

Collect all of the supplies. To make each separate rocket ship, line up four jumbo craft sticks on your work surface. Using scissors, trim additional jumbo sticks to the width of the rocket and attach with a glue gun and glue sticks. Kids can do this with a tacky glue but then be sure to allow dry time. There are great cool glue guns that can be used too.

STEP TWO

Basecoat the craft stick rockets with white, red, and pink acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP THREE

Download, print and cut out the Rocket Ship Valentine Craft Patterns. They are at the bottom of this post.

Trace shape patterns onto white, red, and pink craft foam with a pencil. Work on tracing skills and colors. Cut out all traced rocket part patterns with scissors. Cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project. Work on cutting skills and shapes.

STEP FOUR

Attach rocket parts to rocket base using a glue gun and glue sticks. Mix and match the colors, to use all the colors of craft foam. Refer to the photo for the layering and placement of all rocket parts. Work on matching skills.

STEP FIVE

Cut the white, red, and pink heart shaped doilies in half with scissors. Attach the half doilies to the back of the rocket on the right and left sides with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP SIX

Attach two felt heart stickers to the front of each rocket. Mix and match the colors of the felt heart stickers to work on colors and matching.

STEP SEVEN
