Candy Bar Cupcakes From Box Mix
Firstly, the super deep cupcake pan makes the most magical center area to fill with crushed candy. Second, they are delicious. Thirdly, they are festive and super fun. Baking up a batch of these is a great way to prep for a party, celebration or holiday event. Any candy bar can be used but my thought is – the more chocolate the better. For this batch, I added salted caramel chocolates. This recipe is the best for candy bar cupcakes for several reasons.

Ingredients and Supplies for
- Chocolate Cake Box Mix With Necessary Ingredients (Can be GLUTEN FREE!!!)
- Candy Chocolate Bars
- Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
- Sprinkles
- Cupcake Liners (The ones I used were from Hobby Lobby)
- KING-Size Muffin pan from Wilton
Directions for Candy Bar Cookies
Step One
Bake the cupcakes in liners using the King Size Muffin Pan. The most important trick to these magical candy bar cupcakes is to use the right cupcake pan. This KING-Size Muffin pan from Wilton is my favorite baking dish. I have had it for years and break it our for times when our treats need to be super special. Note that eating one of these is like eating a GIANT piece of cake.
When baking, use the regular cupcake timing and add about 5-7 minutes. Check periodically with a toothpick to make sure they are cooked through before removing from the oven.
Step Two
Next, get your candy bars unwrapped and out on a cutting board.
Chop the candy bars into little pieces to get them ready for the hot cupcakes. when they come out of the oven.
Smoosh cavities in the cupcakes using the end of a tool like a whisk.
Next, put the candy bars inside. They will melt a little if you get them fast enough while the cupcakes are still hot.
Step Three
Once the cupcakes are cool, Add chocolate buttercream frosting and then SPRINKLES and maybe even more candies like these. The sprinkles can be chosen by colors and themes to celebrate specific events and holidays. These are perfect for Valentine’s Day!
I am pretty sure these might be the most decadent and rich chocolate baked treats I have ever made.
